I’ve always wanted to host a red carpet movie premiere but I never thought it would happen in Dallas! (And with Vivica A Fox as one of the guests!) Of course the story of Carter High’s 1988 football team is well known around Texas but with this movie, the creators have a goal that everyone will know about and learn from the story of that football team. The team was noted as being the best in Texas High School football history but in the post-season, several of the Division 1 scholarship players were involved in a series of robberies. They were caught. It changed their lives. The movie was written and directed by Arthur Muhammad, one of the members of the team that year. The movie was produced by former Dallas Cowboy defensive end, Greg Ellis. Both of them were generous enough to appear on Good Day for an interview.

The biggest “take away” from this event was that no matter how many celebrities showed up and no matter how many characters took the stage, the consistent message was that we control our destiny and that the decisions we make can impact our lives and the lives of those around us for decades to come.
