Is this real life? I got to hang with an incredible group of women this week for the “10 Most Influential Women in Dallas” event and I wanted to share some of the “behind the scenes” pics. I do believe we are a reflection of those who we choose to spend time with and I was inspired after spending an afternoon with these ladies.

The event was a fitness fashion show and fundraiser at the Dallas Renaissance Hotel, so we all tried our hand at walking the runway and spent the afternoon getting dolled up. This is definitely not a normal ordeal for me! - I first met Pat at an event I was hosting and she was the guest speaker for- we connected instantly! Her personality is magnetic!
We all also got to speak on stage about what inspires us daily. It is such an interesting topic to ponder. I know the “big” sources of inspiration in my life, but thinking about the “daily” aspect of that question was more thought provoking. I ended up speaking about my grandfather, who came the the U.S. from Mexico and became a migrant worker before serving in the U.S. Navy and becoming a citizen. He then started a business and paved the way for the rest of our family to live out our “American dream”. For, that, I’m forever grateful and inspired!
