Hi everyone! While I do share a lot of my “career” life, I’m usually extremely private about my personal life and that is quite intentional. I never want to expose anyone who is close to me, to the type of scrutiny that I’m sometimes subject to. I like to keep them in a little safe-haven, a cocoon, if you will. However, with the recent fun engagement festivities, I wanted to share some of the wonderful happy moments with all of you! After all, you “spend your mornings” with me and that sort of makes us friends too, doesn’t it? As long as you’re kind to my loved ones, I’ll keep this more “personal” version of a blog going!
Some of our dear friends held a little engagement get together for close local family and friends. It was glorious! But… before that, we did a little “wedding trial run” for hair and makeup and tasted some cake! (I had to let Heath have some fun too, right?!)

Heath, the judicious cake taster. Red Velvet is truly his favorite but this ciroc-strawberry version might be a wedding-day contender.
Then, next day, some other wonderful friends held their “Summer White Party”. Much to our surprise, they also helped to celebrate our engagement! What a whirlwind of a weekend! I must say that I’m beyond grateful to have met such wonderful people to share this special time with.
